PACKING & SECURITY MEASURES

International air travel security measures prohibit passengers carrying any potentially dangerous items in their carry-on baggage. If there is anything you are not sure of pack it in your check-in baggage. All sharp objects such as the following should be packed into check-in baggage:

  • Flick, butterfly or lock knives;
  • Any cutting blades including scissors and razors; and
  • Martial arts implements.

Passengers should also be mindful of personal items that could be considered dangerous. This includes any aerosol cans, e.g. hairspray and shaving creams having no lid. Disposable razors can be packed in your carry-on baggage.

Procedures for the carriage of liquids, aerosols and gels (LAGs) are detailed in the Security Advice & Information link.
